LAB Sessions

Last night was a pivotal moment in my bands mission to climb the ladder of music greatness. We just finished are newest song "Where the Eighties At". Produced by Javie Lopez, a knocking original beat that has an old sound of a Casio synthesiser, and retro 808 bass line. We came up with idea to have a throw back song dedicated to a time history, that we all can relate to. Lyrics by O Brown are sick with it, Cameron Candeleria live drums gives it a strong consistent break beat, and my vocals on the hook actual brings it together as one. Whats amazing that this original track was blessed by Edubb, not only co-production, but he also mixed down the track in his new state of the art studio in the "A" room on the SSL 4000 G Series. We are so lucky to have him as a part of our team and family. I was shocked at the attention to detail he uses and his ear has a keen sense, picking up on sound waves only he hears. This one really came together in a beautiful way and the synergy between our team is stronger than ever. The world get ready because our formula is working.

Fly like an Eagle

After a long week of grinding out, running a successful apparel company and all its trails and tribulations, and also do 2 rehearsals for my band D.I.S, it was nice Friday night to go see the Eagles live at the Hollywood bowl. These old codgers are real legends. Don Henley smashing the drums and vocals and they even had a complete horn section that all together sounded amazing. I feel so lucky to see these guys as we all know these concerts are not forever. It was a crowd of older people I guess my generation does not appreciate live classic rock shows as much or dont have the everyday funds to toss off a min $175.00 per ticket. My uncle shrek gave them to my pops and my Dad laced me, and yes he does look and sound like shrek and no he not my real uncle, but never the less thanks a bunch to both.
